Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Friday was a beautiful day! I really wanted to go to the zoo but didn't think I could find anyone else to go on such short notice. Long story short, there were three other ladies already going and I was able to join them--God is too kind!!
We joined the Slacks, Shiels and Hansens for a wonderful day in God's glorious creation enjoying His many different creatures!

The National Zoo is SOOO pretty! Not as big as I had expected, but is so pleasant to walk around in. Lots of open spaces and huge trees.
Isaac asked all day to see the elephants and giraffes. Unfortunately there are no giraffes and when we arrived at the elephants it was closed. But after going to see the giant pandas, on our way back to the car, I swung by the elephant house and we got to see the elephant and hippo. Isaac was thrilled :o)

Hi Amanda! Brianna and I were just talking about your baby shower for Isaac YESTERDAY. I was reminding her how God had given her a prayer for you both.

And now today, I find your blog! And you guys are at the PC! It seems so surreal after just remembering you (fondly) yesterday...

You all look wonderful and now we know how to be praying for you!

# 18 Hearing Kindergarteners sing "Little Drummer Boy" while playing little instruments.
# 17 Keith getting up before the rest of us to seek the Lord and get the fire going :)
# 16 Care group. What a joy to be with these dear people and hear how God is working in their hearts!
# 15 Talking with my mom on the phone for an hour while Samy sleeps and Isaac is at school.
# 14 The kids helping Daddy get the firewood stacked on a cold day and hot chocolate together afterwards.
# 13 When the check-out lady at Wal-Mart remembered Samy and I and cheerfully talked with us.
# 12 Feeling little baby W break dancing in my belly :)
# 11 Wrapping Christmas presents while watching a cheesy Hallmark movie and thinking of the look on the kids faces when they open them Christmas morning.
# 10 When Keith is patient with my pregnant irrationality and emotions--putting on full display the grace of God at work in him!

# 8 Singing Christmas carols in the car with Keith (even if he's way out of tune :) while we get lost in Westminster.
# 7 When Isaac brings home pictures from school that he colored just for Samy!
